Women who currently own and lead businesses and startups across Australia are being asked to identify the challenges and opportunities facing them as female founders.

A survey has been put together to gather opinions, in the hope that the responses will help to shape new policies that will remove barriers and facilitate a better environment to foster female entrepreneurship.

Bilson said: “Ninety-seven (97) per cent of women-owned and led businesses in Australia are small businesses, and small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy”.

“Research has found that boosting the number of women entrepreneurs could contribute between $71–135 billion to the Australian economy and up to $7 trillion globally.

“I encourage women business owners and operators to complete this survey so we can harness opportunities and look at how to address any needless headwinds or obstacles to their success.”

Experienced businesswoman, Mandy Sigaloff, Managing Director of TaxAssist Accountants in Australia, is herself no stranger to entrepreneurship, being listed as ‘business woman of the year’ in 2012, by online publication Dynamic Business.

Mandy is a board member of ‘Heads Over Heels’ that supports Australian female entrepreneurs through game changing connections, as well as her main role, to drive the expansion of the TaxAssist Accountants brand across Australia.

“I’d encourage any women in business to complete the survey, as it will help generate a wider discussion about what more can be done to help women to achieve their goals,” said Mandy.

“I am passionate about providing females with the knowledge and support to help them progress and reach their full potential, and would love to speak to more women, who are qualified accountants working in industry, tax preparers looking to scale up their business, individuals with an accountancy or law degree or diploma, as well as those that already own an accounting or tax practice they wish to expand. We have some very sucessful female franchisees running growing businesses within the network, who can vouch for just what can be achieved.

“TaxAssist Accountants is currently offering a special ‘Covid Package’ to help get franchisees up and running in what has been a challenging year, and this will be available in specific areas of Australia, which have been worst hit with the lockdown restrictions.
