TaxAssist Accountants Avendra Narayan and Colin Lua have both reported increased footfall into their shop premises over the tax season, compared to this time last year.

Avendra, based in Liverpool has experienced a three-fold increase in the number of walk-ins and Colin, whose shop is located in the Ultimo district of Sydney CBD, has seen his walk-ins double.

A key part of the TaxAssist Accountants business model is to operate from a ‘shop front’ style premises. The shops have been specifically designed for the convenience of small business clients, with the aim of departing from the intimidating look and feel of traditional accounting practices.

Avendra said: “We know our clients appreciate our open, welcoming look, as is evidenced by the increase in walk-in enquiries. Having a visible presence within the business community has helped raise the profile of the business tremendously and increased the effectiveness of my marketing activities.”

Colin added: “A big part of my decision to join a franchise rather than going it alone was that the proven business model, brand and support, would enable me to build a substantial practice in a short space of time. The shop concept has been key to this, and I am very pleased with the way my business has grown.”

TaxAssist Accountants provides small businesses with advice tailored specifically for their needs – from completion of end of year accounts and annual tax returns to payroll, GST and bookkeeping.
